Would early Indians (Gautama, Mahavira, Ajivika, Valmiki, Vyasa or Panini) have the Brahmi transcription option? Bhavabhuti is reputed to have cracked many ribald jokes that would leave Aristophanes red in the face.

It would depend on the phone, I guess. Android and Nokia phones don’t have support for Indic characters.
